Greenlight Publishing is a digital-first independent imprint. We finish original fiction, biography, and practical books as ePub and audiobook, and we release them on the platforms readers already use.
We exist to bring stories written in other languages into English — carefully, completely, and in the author’s own voice — and to carry finished books back out into the languages their readers actually speak.

We do not operate a print catalogue. There is no warehouse, no returns desk, no remainders bin. Every title exists as a digital file that can be downloaded, streamed, or read in-browser anywhere in the world, instantly. This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
What we believe, in five sentences.
Digital is the default
We don't print books. We don't warehouse books. We don't ship books. Every Greenlight Publishing title is a file, released as ePub and audiobook on the platforms that title is actually live.
First chapter is always free
Every book in our catalogue offers the opening chapter free, in your browser, with no account, no email gate, and no commitment. If the writing doesn't earn the next click, the book doesn't deserve to be sold.
Editors over algorithms
Fiction titles go through a multi-module editorial audit before release. Biography and practical books get the same editorial desk, not a film-development pipeline they do not need. Discovery happens through curated collections, not engagement-bait recommendation engines.
Authors are the imprint
The roster is the product. Each writer has a public page with biography, bibliography, and the books they are working on next. The studio is the means; the authors are the meaning.
No returns, no remainders
Print publishing's biggest secret is the returns desk — 30% of physical books shipped come back unsold and end up pulped. We solved that problem by not having shelves.
Stories that were written somewhere else first.
Most of our authors did not write in English first, and neither did we. Greenlight is a non-native English-speaking house, and the thing we are best at is taking a story from wherever it was written — often by a writer who was told it would never find a publisher, or who never managed to finish it — and bringing it out in English, properly edited, as an ebook and an audiobook. That is why the catalogue reaches across so many countries, and why so many of its stories come from places the English-language market rarely looks.
Because of where we come from, translation is a service, not an afterthought. We translate into English, and we translate finished English titles back out into the languages our authors and their readers actually speak. If your book exists in a language we do not yet publish in, that is the conversation we most want to have.
